The genes encoding the RNA (rnpB) and protein (rnpA) subunits of ribonuclease P (RNase P) of Streptomyces bikiniensis var. zorbonensis have been cloned by complementing the temperature-sensitive growth phenotype of Escherichia coli strains that carry mutations in these genes.
