OBJECTIVES: In the search for chromosome 12 genes potentially involved in the pathogenesis of bipolar disorder we will screen Phenylalanine hydroxylase and human LIM-homeobox LHX5 genes for sequence variants, both of which have been suggested as candidate genes.
