Genes encoding the Na(+)/H(+) antiporter (Nha1p) from Candida tropicalis (C.t.), Hansenula anomala (H.a.) (also named Pichia anomala), and Aspergillus nidulans (A.n.) were cloned, and the nucleotide sequences were determined.
