ELL (Eleven-nineteen Lysine rich Leukemia) is known to be an elongation factor resembling elongin for RNA polymerase II transcription. A homologue of human ELL (hELL) was identified in Drosophila melanogaster (dELL) and several cDNA clones were isolated from the embryonic cDNA library.
