The novel phosphotyrosine (pTyr) mimetic 4'-carboxymethyloxy-3'-phosphonophenylalanine (Cpp) has been designed and incorporated into a series of nonpeptide inhibitors of the SH2 domain of pp60(c-Src) (Src) tyrosine kinase.
