The expression of three different neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) spliced variants, named nNOSalpha, nNOSbeta, and nNOSgamma, was investigated in the spinal cord of control and both familiar and sporadic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (FALS and SALS) patients.
