The affinity of [3H]-benzylpenicillin for penicillin-binding protein(PBP) 3A/3B was reduced in clinical isolates beta-lactamase-negative ampicillin(ABPC)-resistant Haemophilus influenzae(BLNAR) with MIC of > or = 1 microgram/ml to ABPC.
