In this study, we systematically examined in vitro frequencies and spectra of the spontaneous mutations in Helicobacter pylori that confer resistance to clarithromycin (Cla(r)), metronidazole (Mtz(r)), amoxicillin (Amx(r)), ciprofloxacin (Cip(r)), and rifampin (Rif(r)).
