KatG, the catalase-peroxidase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, has been characterized by resonance Raman, electron spin resonance, and visible spectroscopies. The mutant KatG(S315T), which is found in about 50% of isoniazid-resistant clinical isolates, is also spectroscopically characterized.
