Moderate hyperhomocysteinemia is an atherogenic risk factor and plays an important role in geriatrics. Here, we have investigated the role of hyperhomocysteinemia in two elderly groups: 104 longeval subjects of 85-102 years, 100 seniors aged 65-75 years, and 75 controls of 19-60 years.
