Abstract excerpt
Familial combined hyperlipidemia (FCHL) is a complex genetic disorder of unknown etiology. Recently, 'modifier' genes of the FCHL phenotype, such as the apolipoprotein AI-CIII-AIV gene cluster and LPL, have been identified in several populations.
