<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> Haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a rare, life-threatening hyperinflammatory syndrome characterised by uncontrolled immune activation. Reduced high-and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and hypertriglyceridaemia are reported in HLH, suggesting lipid metabolism disturbances although in-depth serum metabolomic analysis is lacking in HLH.
