<title>Abstract</title> <p>Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) exert broad therapeutic effects across a range of inflammatory diseases. Their therapeutic properties, largely mediated by secreted factors, can be enhanced by pre-exposure to inflammatory cytokines, a concept known as “licensing”.
