In June 2017, an unknown fruit rot was observed in a 2-acre field of muskmelon (Cucumis melo ‘Xingtian20’) in Huainan of Anhui Province, China. Symptoms included water-soaked, soft, dark-brown lesions on the surface of the fruit. Approximately 10% of the fruit was affected.
