Apple fruits and grapevine leaves were inoculated with four wild-type strains of Botrytis cinerea. Two types of symptoms were observed on apple, firm or soft rot. Extracts from infected tissues were analysed for polygalacturonase (PG) and pectin methylesterase (PME) isozyme profiles.
