<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> <h4>Background</h4> ALMS1 is a ubiquitous gene associated with Alström syndrome (ALMS). The main symptoms of ALMS affect multiple organs and tissues, generating at last, multi-organic fibrosis in the lungs, kidneys and liver.
