<h4>IMPORTANCE</h4> African American (AA) breast cancer patients have worse outcomes than Caucasian Americans (CAs). DNA damage repair (DDR) genes drive poor outcome in CA estrogen receptor (ER)+ breast cancer patients. Whether DDR genes similarly impact survival in AAs is unknown.
