Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most aggressive solid tumors. Based on transcriptomic classifiers, basal-like and classical PDAC subtypes can be defined that differ in prognosis. Single-cell sequencing has recently revealed that these subtypes coexist in individual tumors.
