Bacterial (aerial) stem rot of potato (Solanum tuberosum) in Russia is caused by the pectolytic bacteria Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum, P. atrosepticum, or Dickeya spp. (De Boer and Kelman 2001).
