Chrysanthemum yellows (CY) mycoplasmalike organism (MLO) was detected in plants of Catharanthus roseus (periwinkle), Chrysanthemum frutescens, and Chrysanthemum carinatum by dot hybridizations of biotinylated cloned DNA probes to nucleic acid extracts from infected plants.
