Coatomer, the cytosolic protein complex, consists of seven subunits (alpha-, beta-, beta'-, gamma-, delta-, epsilon-, and zeta-COP) and is involved in vesicle trafficking early in the secretory pathway in collaboration with a 20 kDa GTP-binding protein (ARF).
