We showed previously that the yeast Prp4 protein is a spliceosomal factor that is tightly associated with the U4, U5, and U6 small nuclear RNAs. Moreover, Prp4 appears to associate very transiently with the spliceosome before the U4 snRNA dissociates from the spliceosome.
