An RNA ligase previously detected in extracts of Escherichia coli is capable of joining Saccharomyces cerevisiae tRNA splicing intermediates in the absence of ATP to form a 2'-5' phosphodiester linkage (Greer, C., Javor, B., and Abelson, J.
