Proteolytic activities of the protozoan parasite Entamoeba histolytica strain HM1:IMSS and the cytochalasin D-resistant mutant BG-3 were analyzed following stimulation with collagen type I and Ca2+, which induces electron-dense associated collagenase secretion.
