We report a significant excess of heterozygotes at an alpha-tubulin locus in individuals with endometrial carcinoma. Although the heterozygous state was not specific for cancer, there was a 2.6-fold increase in heterozygote frequencies in endometrial tumors over those of normal human endometrial tissues.
