Abstract excerpt
In the present study a tetranucleotide (TGGA)n repeat polymorphism 5' to the myelin basic protein (MBP) gene was evaluated in a group of HLA-class II-typed, chronic progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. This polymorphism has been reported by others to be associated with MS. Contrary to these reports we observed similar allele frequencies in patients and controls. Our results indicate that there is no...
