Pathogenic activating mutations in the fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) drive disease maintenance and progression in urothelial cancer. 10-15% of muscle-invasive and metastatic urothelial cancer (MIBC/mUC) are FGFR3-mutant.
