Hydroxytyrosol has been proven beneficial to human health. However, the process involving the conversion of L-DOPA to 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetaldehyde (3,4-DHPAA) in hydroxytyrosol biosynthesis typically required the simultaneous use of decarboxylase and oxidative deaminase.
