Introduction: Well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) can be non-functional or functional, e.g. insulinoma and glucagonoma. The majority of PNETs are sporadic, but PNETs also occur in hereditary syndromes, primarily multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1).
