BACKGROUND: Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a myeloid neoplasia with potentially fatal consequences, and about 2/3 of cases involve the BRAFV600E kinase-activated mutation. Vemurafenib, a BRAF inhibitor, has demonstrated significant clinical improvements in LCH.
