BACKGROUND: The somatic BRAFV600E mutation occurs in 38-64% of pediatric cases of Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). Vemurafenib (VMF), a BRAF inhibitor, was approved for refractory BRAFV600E mutated LCH.
