Bloom syndrome (BSyn) is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the BLM gene, which is involved in genome stability. Patients with BSyn present with poor growth, sun sensitivity, mild immunodeficiency, diabetes, and increased risk of cancer, most commonly leukemias.
