Premetastatic niche (PMN) is a prerequisite for tumor metastasis. Destruction of PMN can significantly suppress the tumor metastasis. Bone marrow-derived cells are usually recruited into the premetastatic organs to support PMN formation, which can be orchestrated by tumor-derived secreted factors.
