This review aimed to evaluate the molecular mechanism underlying the development of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) caused by mutant calreticulin (CALR). This mutation is found in a subset of patients with Philadelphia chromosome-negative MPNs, and it encodes a molecular chaperone.
