Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading cause of cancer death worldwide. Recent advances in genomic medicine have identified novel gene mutations that contribute to an increased risk of CRC. Here, we describe a diagnosis of colon cancer in a 63-year-old woman and also in her brother. Next-generation sequencing showed that both patients harbored a germline mutation in NF1.
