Waldenström macroglobulinemia is a lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma with bone marrow involvement and a monoclonal IgM gammopathy. Infiltration of the skin by neoplastic cells is very rare, and it can be difficult to distinguish from marginal zone lymphoma.
