Nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDK), a ubiquitous enzyme, catalyses reversible transfer of the γ phosphate from nucleoside triphosphates to nucleoside diphosphates and functions to maintain the pools of ribonucleotides and deoxyribonucleotides in the cell.
