Aldehyde Oxidase (hAOX1) is a cytosolic enzyme involved in the metabolism of drugs and xenobiotic compounds. The enzyme belongs to the xanthine oxidase (XO) family of Mo containing enzyme and is a homo-dimer of two 150 kDa monomers.
