Extracellular cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRP) exaggerates inflammation in sepsis. Neutrophil reverse transendothelial migration (rTEM) allows neutrophils to migrate from tissues into the circulation. The phenotype of neutrophils after reverse migration is CD54CXCR1.
