INTRODUCTION: Early-onset schizophrenia (EOS) is a rare and severe condition. A higher rate of neurodevelopmental abnormalities, such as intellectual or communication impairments as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is observed in EOS compared with adult-onset schizophrenia.
