AIM: Investigate the role of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) in pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). METHODS & RESULTS: A model of progressive pulmonary TB in BALB/c mice, immunohistochemistry and digital pathology were used.
