Frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) is a clinically, pathologically, and genetically heterogeneous group of disorders that affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. FTLD classification distinguishes three main neuropathological groups: FTLD-tau, FTLD-TDP, and FTLD-FUS.
