PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Primary myelofibrosis (PMF) is one of the classic BCR-ABL1 negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). Oncogenic driver mutations in PMF include Janus kinase 2, calreticulin (CALR), and myeloproliferative leukemia virus oncogene.
