BACKGROUND: Gangliogliomas (GGs) are slow-growing glioneuronal tumors seen in children and young adults. They are associated with intractable epilepsy, and have recently been found to harbor BRAF (B- rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma) gene mutations.
