Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is an aggressive PDGFB-dependent cutaneous sarcoma characterized by infiltrative growth and frequent local recurrences. Some DFSP progress to a higher-grade fibrosarcomatous form, with rapid growth and increased risk of metastasis.
