OBJECTIVE: To investigate the association between aquaporin 4 (AQP4) gene polymorphisms and Chinese patients with neuromyelitis optica (NMO). METHODS: 122 consecutive anti-AQP4 autoantibody (NMO-IgG) seropositive cases were enrolled for gene sequencing.
