Mountain sickness (MS) occurs among humans visiting or inhabiting high altitude environments. We conducted genetic analyses of seven single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the promoter region of VEGFA gene for lowland (Han) and highland (Tibetan) Chinese.
