We studied phenotypes of the circulating renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and circadian BP during preeclampsia depending on polymorphism of angiotensinogen gene M235T. The TT genotype or T allele of angiotensinogen M235T gene polymorphism is associated with the risk of preeclampsia. Plasma renin activity significantly decreases under conditions of preeclampsia.
