Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) is a reversible enzyme that catalyzes the NADP(+)-dependent oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate (ICT) to α-ketoglutarate (αKG) and the NADPH/CO(2)-dependent reductive carboxylation of αKG to ICT.
