To evaluate the interaction between the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) gene insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphism and gender with individual blood pressure response to hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) in hypertensives, we enrolled 829 mild-moderate hypertensive patients.
